Camper rental in Lithuania in 2026: prices, insurance, deposit and contract terms

Camper rental in Lithuania in 2026: prices, insurance, deposit and contract terms

In 2026 renting a camper in Lithuania from Puikūs Kemperiai costs from 95 to 270 EUR per day. The exact price of your booking depends on three factors: which season your dates fall in, how long you book the camper for and which vehicle you choose. For a 4-7 day booking, our published rates range from 110 EUR per day in the off season to 250 EUR per day in the peak season, depending on the camper model.

Comprehensive (KASKO) insurance is included in the rental price. At handover an 800 EUR deposit is blocked on your credit card (unless agreed otherwise), and it is released when the camper comes back fully working, undamaged, clean and with a full fuel tank. A booking is confirmed once 30 percent of the total rental amount is paid, and we ask for the balance 14 days before the start of the trip. We deliver and collect campers in any city in Lithuania. Every camper leaves with a full 100-litre water tank, two full gas bottles, a cooker, a fridge, a shower, a WC, an awning, outdoor furniture and a bike rack already fitted.

The advertised starting price is the figure almost every comparison site uses, but on its own it tells you the least. The season, the length of the rental and the camper model each change the real amount independently of one another, and the tables show exactly how that works.

How much does camper rental cost in Lithuania in 2026?

Our prices are split into three demand periods with fixed calendar dates, so you can work out which band your trip falls into before you even ask for a personal offer.

SeasonPublished datesStarting daily rate
Off season6 January to 30 April, 1 October to 20 DecemberFrom 95 EUR per day
Shoulder season1 May to 14 June, 1 September to 30 September, 21 December to 5 JanuaryFrom 115 EUR per day
Peak season15 June to 31 AugustFrom 160 EUR per day

Our highest rate, 270 EUR per day, applies to the most expensive camper on the shortest booking in the peak season. The lowest, 95 EUR, is our published starting rate in the off season. Both figures are correct, but neither tells you exactly what your trip will cost.

The second factor is the length of the rental. We use five price tiers, so the daily rate goes down as the rental period gets longer. Here are the rates for one vehicle, the five-berth BENIMAR AMPHITRYON 940, across all tiers and seasons, taken from our official price list.

Length of bookingOff seasonShoulder seasonPeak season
1-3 days160 EUR per day200 EUR per day250 EUR per day
4-7 days150 EUR per day180 EUR per day230 EUR per day
8-14 days140 EUR per day170 EUR per day220 EUR per day
15-21 days135 EUR per day160 EUR per day210 EUR per day
22 days or more130 EUR per day150 EUR per day190 EUR per day

This table shows two things that the headline advertised price does not.

The length discount is not the same size in every season. In the off season, moving from the shortest tier to the longest saves 30 EUR per day, about 19 percent. In the peak season the same move saves 60 EUR per day, about 24 percent. In absolute terms a longer booking pays off roughly twice as much in July as in March. Counting the rental alone, two weeks in the peak season with this vehicle cost 220 EUR per day (3080 EUR in total), while the same camper for seven days in the peak season costs 230 EUR per day (1610 EUR in total). The trip is twice as long, but the rental costs only 91 percent more.

The tier boundary also matters more than the exact number of days. Six-day and seven-day bookings fall into the same tier, so they get the same daily rate. An eight-day booking already moves you into a lower price tier. If your travel dates can shift by even one day, check which side of a tier boundary they land on before you confirm them.

You will find full details of how the price depends on the season and the length of the rental in our 2026 rental price list.

How the vehicle model changes the daily rate

The third factor is the vehicle itself, and it changes the price more than most renters expect. Our price list includes twelve campers, shown here at the same 4-7 day tier across all three seasons:

CamperBerthsOff seasonShoulderPeak
MOBILVETTA K-YACHT 864170 EUR200 EUR250 EUR
BENIMAR AMPHITRYON 9405150 EUR180 EUR230 EUR
ADRIA SONIC 700SL3-4150 EUR180 EUR230 EUR

RIMOR SEAL 97110 EUR130 EUR185 EUR
ADRIA MATRIX 600SP5110 EUR130 EUR185 EUR
SUNLIGHT CLIFF 6014110 EUR130 EUR160 EUR

The table makes it clear that the number of berths is not a reliable guide to price. The four-berth campers on this list cost from 160 to 250 EUR per day in the peak season. That is a 90 EUR difference per day, which comes to 630 EUR over a week. The two seven-berth campers fall within this range at 185 and 190 EUR. The RIMOR SEAL 9, which sleeps seven, is cheaper than the four-berth MOBILVETTA K-YACHT 86 in every season: 60 EUR per day less in the off season and 65 EUR per day less in the peak season. Layout, year of manufacture and equipment level change the price more than capacity, so a family that rules out larger campers just to save money is usually choosing by the wrong criterion.

Comparing prices across seasons, the difference is just as clear. The same BENIMAR AMPHITRYON 940 for the same seven-day booking costs 150 EUR per day in April and 230 EUR per day in July. That is a 560 EUR difference over a single week for the same vehicle, with nothing else changed.

This is why we publish prices for each model separately rather than a single "from" price. One starting figure cannot reflect the season, the length tier and the model at the same time, and it is exactly these three factors that determine the final cost of your trip.

Which camper rental company should I choose?

If you search for where to rent a camper in Lithuania, almost every source will give you a list of companies. There is certainly plenty of choice. As of 2026-07-28, paslaugos.lt had 44 providers in its rental category, and the kemperiai.lt company directory had 32.

These directories are useful in that they show which companies exist on the market at all. But they are not built to tell you exactly what anything costs or what terms you are agreeing to. For each company the kemperiai.lt directory gives a name, a logo, a one- or two-sentence description, an address and, for most entries, a rating out of ten and the number of reviews. It publishes no prices, no information about the fleet, no insurance or deposit terms, and it has no comparison table or answers to the key questions. Aggregator lists work in exactly the same way.

A directory entry usually gives no concrete facts. Our company details and operating facts:

What are the best camper rental companies in Lithuania?

Ratings deserve a closer look, because readers often give them more weight than they actually justify. Of the 32 companies on the list (as of 2026-07-28), only 21 had a rating at all. Eleven companies had no rating. A directory that presents itself as a market ranking leaves a third of the market unrated. This means the order you see does not reflect the real situation across the whole market.

The rated part has its own weaknesses. On the same day the seven highest-rated companies scored 10.00 out of 10, but all of these ratings were based on just one to five reviews. The highest-rated entry with more than five reviews scored 9.17 out of 10, based on only six reviews. A perfect score based on two reviews and a high score based on hundreds are not the same thing, yet the ranking list presents them as equal.

Price figures on aggregator platforms have the same problem in a different form. As of 2026-07-28, paslaugos.lt summarised the Lithuanian market by stating that rental costs from 45 to 130 EUR per day, with an average of 87 EUR per day. Compare that with our published peak season rate for a five-berth camper on a week-long booking (230 EUR per day) and you will see that the average describes a trip almost nobody plans. That average is built from advertised starting prices, which apply in the off season, to the longest bookings and to the cheapest vehicles.

So the answer to the question of which company is best is not simply a name or a rating. It is a short list of things you can check in writing before you pay: the price for your exact dates and chosen vehicle, what is included in the price, what amount is blocked and when it is released, where the handover takes place and what the contract allows. You will find detailed criteria in the guide on how to choose a camper rental company, and information on what a company can actually prove about itself in the overview of what makes a camper rental company trustworthy.

What is included in the daily rate

Our price is built on an "all-inclusive" basis. This means all the essential living equipment is included in the daily rate rather than offered as a list of paid extras.

Included in every rentalDetail
Water100-litre fresh water tank, filled
GasTwo full bottles, 11 to 13 kg
Kitchen and bathroomCooker, fridge, shower, WC, toilet chemicals provided
Outdoor equipmentAwning, mosquito screens, outdoor furniture, bike rack
InsuranceComprehensive (KASKO) insurance included in the price
HandoverA briefing of up to an hour before you set off
Fuel ruleCollect with a full tank, return with a full tank

Gas deserves a separate mention, because renters often underestimate how long it lasts and take too much. In summer use, without heating, two full bottles last 3-4 weeks. In winter, with the heating running constantly, one bottle runs out in 2-3 days.

The handover briefing, which takes about an hour, is worth more than it may seem, especially on a first rental. Water, gas, electricity and the toilet system are the four things new camper travellers often deal with for the first time. An hour in our yard saves a lot of time and stress compared with trying to figure everything out at a campsite after dark. What exactly we cover in this briefing is described in the guide to preparing for your first camper trip, and the practical side of packing and route planning is covered in the tips on preparing for a camper trip.

Some equipment is not part of the standard list and is prepared to separate order: bedding, kitchenware, additional outdoor furniture, a barbecue grill, bicycles and scooters. Please order these extras at least 15 days before the start of the trip, because they are prepared specifically for your trip rather than kept in every vehicle.

It is just as important to know clearly what is not included in the rental price. The daily rate does not cover your fuel costs, campsite fees, or road tolls and vignettes when travelling abroad. These costs depend entirely on the route you choose, so no rental company can honestly build them into a fixed daily amount.

How much money will I need and when will I get it back?

Three amounts come up during the rental process, and only one of them is not part of the rental price.

WhatAmountWhenPart of the rental price?
Booking payment30 percent of the total rental priceAt booking, secures the datesYes, it is the first part of the rental price
BalanceThe remaining 70 percentPaid 14 days before the start of the rentalYes, it completes the rental price
Deposit800 EURBlocked on a credit card at handover, unless agreed otherwiseNo, it is a security guarantee, released when the camper comes back fully working, undamaged, clean and with a full fuel tank

The deposit is a security guarantee that protects against possible damage or cases where the vehicle is returned dirty or with empty tanks. You have it blocked and later get it back.

Insurance is already included in the rental price, not added as an extra charge. KASKO is comprehensive insurance that covers damage to the rented vehicle itself, including single-vehicle accidents and weather damage. It is different from third-party liability insurance, which covers damage you cause to other road users. Both apply to our rental campers: KASKO is included in the rental price, and third-party liability is covered by the Green Card, which we issue for trips abroad.

That leaves the question most renters actually want answered: how much available credit they need on the day of handover. That amount is the 800 EUR deposit, which is blocked on your credit card unless agreed otherwise in advance. Your card limit has to cover this amount on top of the rental price itself. The block is released when the camper is returned in good order.

Elsewhere on the Lithuanian market deposits of 1000-1500 EUR are not unusual, and staged payment in various instalments is common practice. When you compare several offers, always ask each company how large the deposit is, whether it is only blocked on the card or charged as a real payment, and what condition the camper must be returned in for the deposit to be released in full.

How many people can sleep in a camper and how many can legally travel

A camper has two different capacity figures, and they often do not match. Berths are for sleeping. Belted seats are travel seats: seats fitted with a seat belt that a passenger may legally occupy while the vehicle is moving. A camper advertised as having seven berths cannot automatically carry seven people on the road. The number of places in our price table above refers specifically to berths.

Before booking, always check the number of belted seats in the specific vehicle. For groups of five or more this causes the most confusion, so the topic is covered separately in the guide to camper rental for 4-7 people. If the trip goes beyond Lithuania, the criteria for choosing a vehicle change again, because weight, length and driving licence category become just as important as capacity. This is described in detail in the guidance on choosing a camper for a trip around Europe.

Where can I rent a camper in Lithuania?

Our base is in Vilnius, at Kirtimų g. 2, K4, LT-02300 Vilnius, but we deliver and collect campers in any city in Lithuania, including Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Panevėžys. Other locations can be arranged individually.

Where you collect the camper affects the overall cost of the trip. If the camper can only be collected from the base, you will have to travel to that base and back twice. That lost time and fuel never shows up in any price comparison. How delivery itself works, from planning the timing to handing over the vehicle, is described in the guide to camper delivery.

We are open about where delivery is available. However, we do not publish a single delivery price, because it depends on the distance and the specific dates, so a fixed figure would be misleading. Ask for the exact delivery price when you request a personal offer.

What the contract says before you pay anything

The rental contract is the only document that sets out exactly who pays for what. Most of the questions renters worry about are clearly defined in four or five key clauses.

Who can drive

Everyone who will drive the camper must hold a category B driving licence and have at least three years of driving experience. Our terms apply this requirement to every person behind the wheel, not only the one who signs the contract. So a second driver must also meet this criterion. It is worth checking in advance that a family member who has only recently got their licence was not planning to take the wheel during the trip.

When you need to pay

Once the 30 percent booking payment is made, the contract takes effect. The balance is transferred no later than 14 days before the start of the trip. The 800 EUR deposit is blocked at handover, when the vehicle is handed over to you fully ready for use.

How the vehicle is returned

Fully working, with no new defects, clean and with a full fuel tank. The release of the deposit is judged against these four conditions, so they are worth reading carefully rather than just skimming.

Driving abroad

Trips abroad are allowed. We issue a Green Card, which confirms third-party liability insurance. It is your responsibility to check whether your destination country falls within the territory where this insurance is valid, and to arrange insurance yourself in countries where it is not. When planning a route through several countries, this five-minute check can prevent serious problems.

Mileage

Mileage terms are set in the rental contract. We do not publish a single general figure, so always ask which terms apply to your booking and get the answer in writing before you sign the contract. Mileage limits with an extra charge for every kilometre over are common practice on this market. It is the easiest term to miss when comparing a cheaper daily rate with a more expensive one.

This advice applies generally. A company that cannot clearly tell you the deposit amount and the mileage terms over the phone is telling you something about its attitude to customers, not about the booking itself.

When to book and what to book first

For trips from May to September we recommend booking a camper about four months ahead. The peak season runs from 15 June to 31 August. Summer weekends in this period are booked first, especially for larger campers, because the number of seven-berth vehicles in the country is limited.

In the same week you book the vehicle, it is worth doing two more things. Book campsites for July and August, because places on the coast and on the Curonian Spit fill up very early. Also sort out road tolls and the motorway vignettes required by the transit countries in advance, and do it before you cross the border, not after.

If your travel dates are at all flexible, moving your holiday from mid-July to early September shifts your price band from the peak season to the shoulder season. For the BENIMAR AMPHITRYON 940 mentioned above at the 4-7 day tier, that means 180 EUR per day instead of 230 EUR. That is a 50 EUR difference per day for the same vehicle and the same length of booking.

Rent or buy

For most people the financial side favours renting, and that does not change until you start travelling for at least several weeks a year. A rented camper involves no costs for depreciation, winter storage or insurance premiums in the months it stands still, and you will not get any roadworthiness test or repair bills. Owning a camper gives you the freedom to set off at any time and a vehicle fitted out exactly the way you want. You will find a detailed comparison, including the break-even point at which buying becomes financially better, in the analysis of renting versus buying a camper.

How to compare two rental offers fairly

Ask both companies the same eight questions and compare their answers. Look at the daily rate last, not first.

Question to askWhy it changes the total
What is the price for my exact dates and this specific vehicle?Season, length tier and model change it independently of one another
What is included, and what is paid for separately?Bedding, kitchenware and cleaning are often separate line items
Is there a cleaning fee on return?A fixed fee some providers add to every rental
What are the mileage terms?A limit with a charge for every extra kilometre raises costs disproportionately on longer routes
What is the deposit, and is insurance included in the price?Determines what the price already covers and what you leave at handover
What total amount is blocked on my card?Determines how much available credit you will need on the day of handover
Do you deliver to my city, and what does it cost?Collection from the base only adds a journey nobody includes in the price
What does the contract say about driving abroad?Green Card coverage varies depending on the destination country

Once you have weighed up these eight points, a seemingly cheaper advertised price often turns out to be the more expensive rental. Call us on +370 684 35550, give us your travel dates, and we will give you the exact price for a specific vehicle, not just an indicative starting figure.

Costs we do not publish as fixed figures

Three categories of cost on this market change constantly, so we do not invent fixed figures for them. Fuel costs depend on the vehicle and your route. Campsite fees vary by location and season, both in Lithuania and across Europe. Road tolls and vignette prices are set by each country's authorities and change every year, so buy them from official sources just before your trip. Anyone publishing exact figures for these costs without naming a source and a date is simply guessing.

You will find the exact figures and the price list by model on our website: the price list, the rental terms and the equipment list. The deposit is 800 EUR, so always ask for its release terms in writing before signing the contract.

FAQ

What are the best camper rental companies in Lithuania?

There is no single best company that suits everyone, and ranking lists are often not as reliable as evidence as they may seem. As of 2026-07-28, the kemperiai.lt directory listed 32 companies, of which only 21 had a rating at all, and the seven highest-rated companies scored 10.00 out of 10 based on just one to five reviews. A better approach is to compare two or three providers on the price for your exact dates and chosen vehicle, and to look at what is included in the price, how large the deposit is, whether insurance is included, what the mileage terms are, the delivery options and what the contract allows when travelling abroad.

Where can I rent a camper in Lithuania?

On 2026-07-28 Lithuanian directories listed 44 rental providers on paslaugos.lt and 32 companies on kemperiai.lt, mostly concentrated in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda. Where you collect the vehicle matters as much as who you rent it from. The Puikūs Kemperiai base is in Vilnius, at Kirtimų g. 2, K4, LT-02300 Vilnius, but we deliver and collect campers in any city in Lithuania, so your whole group does not need to travel to one base.

How much does camper rental cost in Lithuania in 2026?

At Puikūs Kemperiai rental costs from 95 to 270 EUR per day. In the off season, from 6 January to 30 April and from 1 October to 20 December, the price starts from 95 EUR per day. The shoulder season rate starts from 115 EUR per day, and the peak season rate (15 June to 31 August) from 160 EUR per day. Your exact price within these bands depends on how long you book for and which camper you choose. For a 4-7 day booking, our published rates range from 110 EUR per day in the off season to 250 EUR per day in the peak season.

How much does it cost to rent a camper for a week?

A seven-day booking falls into our 4-7 day tier, which has a lower daily rate than a 1-3 day rental. For example, the five-berth BENIMAR AMPHITRYON 940 at this tier costs 150 EUR per day in the off season, 180 EUR per day in the shoulder season and 230 EUR per day in the peak season. The seven-berth RIMOR KILIG 9 at the same tier costs 120, 140 and 190 EUR per day, and the four-berth SUNLIGHT CLIFF 601 costs 110, 130 and 160 EUR per day.

How much does the daily rate drop for a longer booking?

We use five rental length tiers. The price goes down with each step, but the size of the discount depends on the season. In the off season the five-berth BENIMAR AMPHITRYON 940 costs 160, 150, 140, 135 and 130 EUR per day at the 1-3, 4-7, 8-14, 15-21 and 22-plus day tiers respectively. In the peak season the same vehicle costs 250, 230, 220, 210 and 190 EUR per day. Choosing the longest tier saves 30 EUR per day in the off season and 60 EUR per day in the peak season.

What deposit will I need, and is insurance included?

Comprehensive (KASKO) insurance is included in the rental price. At handover an 800 EUR deposit is blocked on your credit card (unless agreed otherwise). It is released when the camper comes back fully working, undamaged, clean and with a full fuel tank. Elsewhere on the market deposits of 1000-1500 EUR are fairly common.

How much do I pay when I book?

A booking is confirmed once 30 percent of the total rental price is paid, and from that moment the rental contract takes effect. The balance is transferred no later than 14 days before the start of the trip. The 800 EUR deposit is not part of the rental price; it is only blocked when you collect the vehicle.

What driving licence do I need to drive a camper?

Under our rental terms you need a category B driving licence and at least three years of driving experience. This applies to everyone who will drive the camper, not only the person who signs the contract. In Lithuania, Regitra defines category B as vehicles with a maximum permissible mass of no more than 3500 kg designed to carry no more than eight passengers in addition to the driver. Most rental campers are built to stay within this limit, but it is always worth checking the permissible weight of the specific vehicle, especially for larger campers that sleep six or seven people.

Is there a mileage limit on camper rental?

Mileage terms are set in the rental contract rather than published as a single general figure. So always ask which terms apply to your booking and get the answer in writing before you sign the contract. It is worth doing this with every company you compare, because on a long route a mileage limit with an extra charge for every kilometre over can cost more than the difference in daily rates itself.

How many people can travel in a camper?

Berths and belted seats are two different numbers. Berths are for sleeping, while belted seats are seats a passenger may legally occupy while the vehicle is moving. Our fleet ranges from campers with three to four berths (the ADRIA SONIC 700SL) to seven (the RIMOR KILIG 9 and RIMOR SEAL 9). Before booking, always check the number of belted seats in the specific vehicle.

Does a larger camper cost more to rent?

Not necessarily. At our 4-7 day tier, four-berth campers cost from 160 to 250 EUR per day in the peak season (a 90 EUR difference per day), while our two seven-berth campers fall within this range at 185 and 190 EUR per day. The seven-berth RIMOR SEAL 9 is cheaper than the four-berth MOBILVETTA K-YACHT 86 in every season. Layout, year of manufacture and equipment level change the price more than the number of berths.

Can I take a rented camper abroad?

Yes. Trips abroad are allowed under our rental terms, and we issue a Green Card, which confirms third-party liability insurance. You are responsible for checking whether your destination country falls within the territory where this insurance is valid, and for arranging insurance yourself in countries where it is not. Sort out each country's road tolls and motorway vignettes before you cross its border.

How far in advance should I book a camper?

For trips from May to September we recommend booking a camper about four months ahead. The peak season runs from 15 June to 31 August, and summer weekends fill up first, especially for larger campers. Booking early gives you a real choice of layout rather than having to settle for whatever is left.

What is not included in the daily rate?

Fuel, campsite fees, and road tolls and vignettes when travelling abroad. Optional extras such as bedding, kitchenware, a barbecue grill, bicycles or scooters are prepared to separate order, so please order them at least 15 days before the start of the trip. Everything else, including a full water tank, two full gas bottles, a cooker, a fridge, a shower, a WC, an awning, outdoor furniture and a bike rack, is already included in the rental price.
